Savannah Boone to be inducted into the 2025 Cohort of KY Women in Educational Leadership
HODGENVILLE, KY: Savannah Boone to be inducted into the 2025 Cohort of KY Women in Educational Leadership
LaRue County Schools is excited to announce Savannah Boone, Director of Special Education, will be inducted into the 2025 Cohort of KY Women in Educational Leadership. The KWEL initiative, a leadership development opportunity by the Kentucky Association of School Administrators, aims to foster a community of professional female education leaders, focusing on promoting knowledge, competence, equity, and self-confidence through personal growth, mentorship, and career advancement support.
Reflecting on the news of her acceptance into the cohort, Boone reflected, "I am so honored to be accepted into this esteemed group of educational leaders. I can’t wait to take what I learn from this experience and use it to improve the programs we provide to students in LaRue County!”
The program offers its members ongoing networking opportunities, access to high-quality professional development, and mentorship from seasoned executive leaders in public education. These experiences aim to build confidence and prepare women to take on greater leadership responsibilities within their schools and districts.
“The induction of these women is not just a celebration of their individual achievements, but a recognition of their potential to transform education in Kentucky,” said Dr. Rhonda Caldwell, KASA Chief Executive Officer. “KWEL serves as a powerful platform for female leaders to connect, support one another, and drive positive change in our schools and communities.”
The new cohort will be formally inducted into the program during the annual KWEL Leadership Forum, to be held January 22-23, 2025, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Louisville. This event will bring together members of the cohort, along with some of Kentucky's most influential female leaders in education, for two days of learning, inspiration, and collaboration.
LaRue County Schools Superintendent Adryanne Warren praised Boone on her acceptance to KWEL, “Savannah is a leader in the district who truly embodies servant leadership. She models what a good leader is in her small everyday actions and the big bold decisions that are often required of a Director of Special Education. I am excited to welcome her into this program that has meant so much to me personally/professionally knowing it will continue to equip her to serve LaRue County students day in and day out.”
