Starting Well By Ending Well: Online Registration Begins

As the school year begins its final approach to the end of the year, there are several efforts already in motion to make next year as successful as possible. To begin well in the Fall, the front office staff at each school along with support from Central Office are already hard at work to make sure students and their families are squared away before Summer Break begins.

One of the most important parts of starting a school year off on the right foot is knowing who will be attending each school. Eric Allen, LaRue County Schools Director of Student Services paints a clear picture of how this helps, “The easiest way to understand the importance of registering your child(ren) for classes comes down to planning. If we know by the end of the 22-23 school year which students will be attending LaRue County Schools in the 23-24 school year, it allows us to plan appropriately for teacher and classroom arrangements.”

As the plans Allen referred to begin to come to fruition, the information that makes that possible is orchestrated by Ashley Gardner, LaRue County School Infinite Campus Facilitator, “I have the opportunity to work with an amazing team of Front Office staff at each school and together we are, beginning this week, helping families register for the 23-24 School Year. The registration is accomplished online and if families need help with registering their student(s) online, we are hosting an online registration night at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School on May 18, 4-7pm. Our goal is to have 98% of our students for the 23-24 school year registered by the last day of school in May.”

To begin a school year is a monumental task. There are countless logistical details to arrange, schedules to sort out, and people to coordinate into the right places. But, as with any goal, this is accomplished one task at a time. As the greater Hawk Family (the entire LaRue County Community) does on a regular basis, this will be achieved by everyone simply doing their small part leading to the big goal of a great start to a new school year in the Fall.
