New Year Message: We Go Together
Public education often lands in the spotlight—but not always for the right reasons.
Despite our best efforts, it can be easy to miss what happens inside our schools on a day-to-day basis. Allow me to share what I see firsthand every day at LaRue County Schools.
From the moment a child steps on the bus, greeted by their driver, to interactions once they’re at school with custodians, food service workers, office staff, teachers and administrators—I see heart. I see purpose. I see a team of educators and staff doing life-changing work.
In the Hawk Family, every role matters. Every person on our team contributes to a powerful, united mission: to support and uplift every student who walks through our doors.
Every wonderful interaction isn’t on full display before the public eye, but the powerful positive impact is real. Students who lack support at home find encouragement and stability inside the school walls.
Grieving children are comforted by staff who treat them like their own family.
Families facing hardship receive help through our Family Resource Center. And students of all backgrounds are pushed to grow, mentored by adults who believe in them.
This is the kind of unseen love that fills our schools—and it deserves to be named.
To our educators and staff: you are enough. The care you give and the difference you make are deeply valued. Keep living your purpose. Keep showing students what’s possible.
To our community: thank you for showing up, standing behind our schools, and investing in our kids. Your support is everything.
As we begin a new school year, we do so with hope and determination. Together—as teachers, staff, students, and neighbors—we’re shaping something special.
Here’s to a great year ahead.
Go Hawks!
