LaRue County Central Office Team Gear Up for Upcoming School Year

In every school system, there are those behind-the-scenes heroes that make the school year run smoothly. One group of unsung heroes for LaRue County Schools is the Central Office team. The staff, whose responsibilities range from accounting to food services to human resources, are gearing up for the 2023-2024 school year.

Right now, the Central Office staff is still closing out the 2022-2023 school year, finalizing data and reviewing information. Teams like the food services unit are still coordinating summer food programs to ensure that LaRue County students are still getting their needs met.

“These roles are like many of our support staff across the district, they might not occur to people as obvious needs, but once you see what these folks do on a daily basis you quickly understand just how important their work is,” Superintendent David Raleigh said.

Raleigh said the Central Office staff are servant-hearted, always looking to improve the lives of students, teachers and the community at large each day. Departments within the Central Office often monitor information between each school building and program, and they coordinate how to adjust or improve services to make sure students are being served.

“It takes not only a detailed personality to engage in this work, but one full of dedication and care for those affected by their work in the rest of the district,” he said.

While many in the community don’t work with Central Office directly, they’ll see the benefits of their work in how efficiently and responsibly the school district runs throughout the year.

“I’m very proud of how this small team serves their broader Hawk Family,” Raleigh said.
