Chamber's check is show of support for Laptops of LaRue

The LaRue County Chamber of Commerce offered public support Monday to LaRue County Schools’ plan to purchase computers for students.
“Laptops of LaRue” or LOL, which has been studied in committee for two years, will provide laptops to about 700 LaRue County High School students. The school system has $1 million escrowed to pay for the “21st century learning initiative,” according to Superintendent Sam Sanders. The issue will be voted on at the March 15 school board meeting.
